NSC Customer Service Charter

1.0      INTRODUCTION

Nzoia Sugar Company Limited was established in 1975, under the Company’s’ Act Cap 486 of the laws of Kenya. The Company is located in Bungoma District and serves Sugarcane farmers in Bungoma, Lugari and Kakamega Districts. The Company has a Nucleus Estate covering 3,600 and an out grower zone spanning 20,500 ha under cane production.

It is also governed by the provisions of the State Corporations’ Acts of 1986  of the laws of Kenya.

The company produces sugar and supports cane production through the provision of extension services to farmers on appropriate crop husbandry through a network of outreach offices where farmers are provided with information in out grower regions.

In pursuit of effective discharge on her mandate, Nzoia Sugar Company Limited is committed to delivery of quality and timely services to its customers, having regard to the need to observe professional ethics and taking into account the declared objectives of vision 2030 and the First Medium Term Plan (2008-2012).

2.0      STANDARDS

In seeking to play its part in making Kenya globally competitive and prosperous, Nzoia Sugar Company commits itself to the highest standard of professionalism in service delivery to its customers, observance of ethical mode of relationship with its stakeholders/clients and establishing benchmarks for appropriate control and direction. It is in pursuit of the above that this Service Charter has been developed.
